Senior Allocation Specialist

Location in Warsaw, Burakowska Str. 14

The purpose of the role:

  • We are delighted to extend a job opportunity in a multinational corporation wherein you will be working in a culturally diverse setting on a daily basis. We are looking for a Senior Allocation Specialist who plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely posting of incoming payments to the appropriate customer accounts. This position is responsible for reconciling cash transactions, resolving discrepancies, reducing unapplied cash balances, and contributing to the efficiency of the cash allocation process of bank statements.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Booking of bank statements, matching incoming payments
  • Collection of remittance advises, compensations, cheques and performing allocation in the system
  • Coordinating accounts receivable and banks month-end close activities and reporting to R2R department
  • Supporting creation of the desktop procedures (DTPs) for the responsible area
  • Communication with logistic cash vendors, lawyer and logistic in case of any control misstatement, preparation of supporting documents
  • Provide support to the manager driving down unallocated cash and improve automation rates
  • Responsibility for performing assigned controls based on company control matrix 
  • Reviewing and analyzing open items on technical accounts in all countries, supporting junior team member
  • Acting as a single check point for audit support within responsible area
  • Answering mails and requests in the common mailbox
  • Back up for other markets – Czech republic and Romania

 

Our requirements:

      • If you have 3-5 years’ experience in Finance and Accounting in cash area
      • If you have min. Bachelor's Degree in Finance and Accounting/Economics or related fields
      • If you have analytical skills and attention to details
      • If you are proficiency in English both verbal and written 
      • If you have ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
      • If you are self-driven, results-orientated person with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality and business profit
      • If you are understanding of accounting processes
      • If you have advanced knowledge of Excel – experience in creating reports, pivot tables (macros nice to have)
      • It will be an asset if you have a knowledge of JDE/Oracle
      • Hungarian language nice to have
